Advertising Executives is a person who works in the advertising field. He coordinates and manages client accounts.
Basic duties of an advertising agent are:
- Advertising agent obtain relevant information of the product to be advertised from the client and other sources. This information is related to company, budget, marketing goals and marketing research.
- He/she handles the ad campaigns that require knowledge in marketing, promotions, creative design, and public relations.
- He/she supervises and coordinates the work of the relevant production departments so that the campaign meets the deadlines and budget requirements.
- Advertising agent keeps in contact with the client throughout the project and assists him with marketing strategies.

1. Tell me about yourself.
It is the most often asked question. You should have a short statement prepared in your mind in advance. Tell about things you have done and jobs you have held in past. One must be brief yet elaborate while answering this question.
2. Why did you leave your last job?
You don’t have to tell the fouls and problem with the management of last job. Stay positive and give a positive reason behind leaving the previous job such as an opportunity, a chance to do something special or some other forward-looking reasons.
3. Where do you expect to be in 5 years time? What will you do if you are not successful in gaining this position?
Tell the interviewer your goals and what you hope to achieve in future. Say that you are flexible and always ready to explore new opportunities.
4. Why do you want to work for this organization?
Research is very necessary for answering this question. The answer should be given with sincerity and relate it to your long-term career goals.
5. What do you know about Advertising and Public Relations?
Advertising is a public promotion of some product or service and Public Relation is a practice of managing the flow of information between an organization and its public. It involves monitoring public attitude and maintaining mutual relationship between producer and consumer.
6. Do you have any questions for me?
Always prepare some question before appearing for an interview. Question can be asked about growth scope, projects on which you will be working on etc.
Advertising is not an ordinary field to enter and thus it is not amazing that Advertising Executive has to be smart, creative, have good interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
