  • An Application Architect is a person who provides the overall guidance and structure for creating and maintaining the whole software architecture of a company. He provides a framework around which all the goals of a company are achieved.

    1. What are your professional skills and experience?
    Well, I have worked on several projects in all stages of development life cycle in my 5 year career. I have ample experience in uncovering requirements, conceptualizing solutions, and developing a framework for implementing the systems. I have the ability to perform the activities and tasks related to application development, apply techniques and strategies which are necessary for completing the work and resolve high level technical issues. I have gained command on major computer languages such as Java, J2EE, J2SE, JSP, Java SE, JDBC, Servlet, HTML, PHP, EJB, XML, and Java Security. I have expertise on database such as Oracle 8i, or 9i, 10g, and MySQL Database.

    2. What are the responsibilities of an Application Architect?
    An Application Architect plays a key role in success of an organization. He is responsible for defining and developing overall application architecture and resolving high level technical issues. He is also liable to provide guidance to Application Engineer team along with providing continuity in all major application solution decisions.

    3. What’s your greatest weakness?
    This question gives you a nice opportunity to put an optimistic turn on something negative. Try to turn your negative into positive. Like in weakness you can say that I am too focused toward my work and I think I should take out time for myself. I am a workaholic person.

    4. What do you think it takes to be successful in an organization like this?
    You can answer this question by saying that I think presence of mind, leadership qualities, willingness to work, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and team spirit are key attributes required for this kind of job. I carry all those attributes that will make me successful in my job.

    5. What salary range are you looking for?
    I am paying attention in finding a job that is a good fit for me. I think you have a good idea of what this position is worth to your company. I am sure whatever salary you are paying is fair and consistent with the rest of the market.
