  • Cardiac Nurse is a person who performs the duty of a Cardiac nursing. He/she is the specialist in the nursing and works with the patients who suffer from various diseases of cardio-vascular system. He/she helps to treat various conditions as an unstable disease Angina, Cardiomyopathy, Coronary Artery disease, Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart failure and Cardiac Dysrhythmia under the direction of a specialized Cardiologist.

    1. What are the duties performed by the Cardiac Nurse?
    Well sir, Cardiac Nurse performs the duties of taking care of the post operative surgical instruments. He/she takes care of the stress test evaluations and Cardiac Monitoring. He/she also performs duties in the Health Assessments and Vascular Monitoring.

    2. What are the basic specializations needed in this field?
    Sir, Cardiac nurse must have the specialization in the field of Electrocardiogram Monitoring, Medication administration by continuous intravenous drip and Defibrillation. He/she must have the Certification in the field of the basic Support and Advance Cardiac Life support.

    3. What kind of degree do you have?
    Sir, my nursing education is from the xyz. I hold a Diploma of Higher Education in the field of Children Nursing and a Bachelors Degree in Pediatrics Intensive Care Nursing.

    4. Why you have chosen the field of nursing?
    Sir, I chose the area of nursing because of my interest in this field. I wanted to be capable enough to think about the people in need specially the innocent children. I chose pediatrics because I identified myself devoted in this area.

    5. What is your specialty area?
    Well sir, I am specialist in the area of Pediatric Intensive Care.

    6. What do you mean by Blood Tracing?

    Sir, Blood Tracing is the process of tracing of the all capillaries, veins, arteries going from the right ventricle to the abdominal visceral organs and back up to the heart.

    7. Which professional nursing organization do you belong from?
    I belong to the XYZ Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society.

    8. What do you mean by Cardiomyopathy?

    Cardiomyopathy is a heart muscle disease which occurs after the failing and weakening of the function of the myocardium i.e. the actual heart muscle. It is an abnormal heart condition in which the heart is dilated i.e. having the poor pumping power, preventive i.e. impaired capability of the heart to fill, and hypertrophic means enlarged heart.

    9. What do you mean by Dysrhythmia?

    Dysrhythmia is an abnormal, irregular, defective and disturbed heart rhythm which is demonstrated by the Electrocardiographic tracing.
