Case Manager Interview Questions

  • Suppose some person is admitted to the hospital. This means that one record will be created in the hospital for that person. This is called a case.  One doctor is appointed to solve that problem if the case is small. However if the case is a tough one then multiple doctors are appointed. There is one case manager as well who keep all the records of the work being done related to that case.

    If you want to become a case manager then you will have to pass an interview. Some of the interview questions which can be asked from you are as follows:

    1. What are you by profession?
    It might be that you are an MBA in the heath care management. You might be a doctor as well.  You should tell the same to the recruiters.

    2. Describe any one case which you have handled in the past.
    I have handled many cases and I have been a case manager in one of the hospital. After this you will have to describe one case. Try to choose the case which you have handled in best possible manner. You should also take the most serious case. This will help you to prove your talent in better way.

    3. Suppose you are required to choose a team for any case. Then whom will you choose?
    I will definitely choose one doctor who is specialist for that purpose. I will then choose two junior doctors to help him and two nurses as well.

    4. Suppose your team members go on strike due to some reasons then what will you do?
    I will definitely keep this in mind. Hence, I will keep some senior doctors reserved if this happens. Thus I will have no problem even if they go on strike.

    5. Suppose you are removed from the office and still you are working on some project. What will you do?
    I will definitely give the complete description of the case to the management before I leave the office.

    6. What is your educational qualification?
    I have done MBA in healthcare management. I have also done MBBS.

    7. Why did you choose MBA after MBBS?
    This is because I wanted to become a manager. Hence I opted for MBA.

    8. How much experience do you have?
    I have six years of experience in this field. I started my career as a junior doctor. But soon I completed my MBA and one year later I was appointed as a case manager.

    These are some of the interview questions which can be asked from you. So make sure that you prepare hard for the interview.
