    A Recruiter is the person busy in recruitment, which is the solicitation of individuals to fill jobs or positions within any group such as a corporation or sports team. He is the person within a staffing firm that is responsible for identifying and screening or evaluating qualified candidates for an open position within a client business. He usually works closely with the hiring firm to determine which candidates are best suited for any open positions. Recruiters can be divided into two groups. Those working internally for one organization are known as Internal Recruiters and those working for multiple clients in a third-party broker relationship called as Headhunters, Agency Recruiters, Recruitment Consultants or Agents.

    1. What are the main roles of a Recruiter?
    Sir, the recruiter can play four main roles in the hiring process. They are:
    ” Company representative.
    ” Gatekeeper and screener.
    ” Inform and educate candidates.
    ” Negotiate offers.

    2. What do you mean by an Internal Recruiter?
    An Internal Recruiter is also known as In-house recruiter or Corporate Recruiter. He is the member of a company or organization and typically works in human resources i.e. HR department or the Personnel Office. He may be multi functional, serving in an HR generalist role such as negotiating, hiring, firing, exit interviews, employee disputes, contracts, benefits, recruiting, etc. or in a specific role focusing all their time on the activity of recruiting. He can be permanent employee or hired as contractor for this purpose. Contract recruiters tend to move around between multiple companies working at each one for a short stint as needed for specific hiring purposes. They have the responsibility to filter the candidate as per the requirement of the client.

    3. What do you mean by a Third Party Recruiter?
    A third party recruiter or an employment agency acts as an independent contact between the client companies and the candidates he uses to recruit for a position. He can specialize in client relationships only and in finding candidates. Most recruiters tend to specialize in permanent or full time, direct hire positions or contract positions or both.

    4. What do you mean by Candidate?
    A Candidate is a job seeker who has submitted his or her information to a staffing agency in the hopes of attaining a position that is best suited to their specific skill set. He may be seeking a permanent or a temporary position and often will work with a recruiter to determine those positions for which they are best qualified.
