  • Chemical engineering is one of the field in engineering which has lot to offer if you are smart enough.     1. State Mosley’s law?
    According to the Mosley’s law the property of an element is directly proportional to the atomic number of that element. On the basis of this law Mosley regrouped various elements and then came up with a new periodic table which we now call the modern periodic table.

    2. State Mendeleev law?
    This is the older version of the periodic table. Let me tell you that according to this law, “the property of an element is totally dependent on the atomic mass.” He made the Mendeleev periodic table with the help of this law.

    3. Name all halogens?
    Fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and astatine are the five halogens known. Out of these five, astatine is radioactive and the heaviest halogen known.

    4. Which is most reactive alkali metal?
    Sodium is the most reactive alkali metal known.

    5. Which is the deadliest compound known on earth surface?
    The deadliest compound which I know is the Potassium cyanide. Its formula is KCN.

    6. What will happen if we burn a diamond?
    It will turn into ash.

    7. Name one compound which leads to the acid rain?
    Sulphur dioxide is one of the compounds which are known for developing the acid rain.

    8. How will you balance an oxidation reaction in organic chemistry?
    At first we will balance the carbon on both the side of the equation. Then we will balance the number of hydrogen. At last we will balance the number of oxygen on both the side.

    9. Are you confident enough about this job?
    I am definitely quite confident about this job. This is because I have good educational background and I also have the required work experience.

    10. How many series of transition elements are there?
    There are three series of transition elements.

    11. Name all the elements of the first transition series.
    They are scandium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc. These are the ten elements of the first transition series.

    12. Which metal catches the fire in least time?
    Potassium is the required metal.
