A civil engineering student is responsible for designing, supervision and construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc.

1. What are pros and corns of being a civil engineering student?

Firstly it requires intensive course study, secondly a professional license is compulsory, and lastly this profession is not as recognized as a Lawyer or Doctor.
2. Why do you want to make a career in this field?
I find this field very lucrative. Civil engineering is considered as a hot career option. There has been the explosion of career opportunities in the area of construction. You have to tell those reasons for which you want to join this profession. Make a complete research on the respective field.
3. Would you like to work for the government or a private firm?
The answer to this question differs from person to person. You can say that - I want more opportunity to grow in a firm that’s why I want to join private organization. Pay is also better than government sector. You are given tougher deadlines and challenges in private firm, and I like to work in such situations.
4. Tell us something about the skills that are required to become a good civil engineering student?
This is a very important position hence it requires outstanding customer service and organizational skills. People at this position must be able to carry out complex projects using latest engineering techniques and tools. They should have excellent design skills to complete the project with good result and within time.
