  • CNC Programmer is the person responsible for the creation of a part program. The part programmer translates the work piece design into program instructions for the CNC machine. CNC Programming is the creation of program codes and instructions used to run a machine tool controlled by a computer. Each unique part requires its own CNC program.

    At this point of time, I am focusing on the section of questions and their probable answers you encounter with while facing the interview of a CNC Programmer.

    1. Define yourself in two words?
    Sir, I am optimistic and hard working individual.

    2. Do you have any qualification in the field of CNC Programming?
    Yes sir, I am certificate holder in this field.

    3. What is CNC Programming?
    Sir, CNC Programming is the creation of program codes and instructions used to run a machine tool controlled by a computer. Each unique part requires its own CNC program.

    4. Do you have any experience in the field of CNC Programming?
    No sir, I don’t have any experience in this field. I have just completed my Master Degree in Computer.

    5. What do you mean by the Programming Language?

    Well sir, a Programming Language is a notation for writing programs which are specifications of a computation or algorithm. This language is an interactive array-oriented language and integrated development environment which is available from a number of commercial and non-commercial vendors and for most computer platforms.

    6. What do you mean by C++ language?
    Well sir, C++ language is the programming language which is the advance form of C programming language. It is basically meant for the statically typed, free form or free structure, multi paradigm, compiled and a general purpose programming language.

    7. What does Template mean in your sense?

    Sir, Templates are the feature of the C++ Programming Language that allows functions and classes to operate with generic types. This allows a function or class to work on many different data types without being rewritten for each one.

    8. What do you mean by the Fourth Generation Language i.e. 4GL?

    Sir, the Fourth Generation Programming Language is developed in 1970-1990. It is a programming language or programming environment designed with a specific purpose in mind such as the development of commercial business software. In the evolution of computing, the 4GL followed the 3GL in an upward trend toward higher abstraction and statement power. The 4GL was followed by efforts to define and use a 5GL.

    Now, it’s your responsibility to answer these questions as effective as you can to influence the interviewer of CNC Programmer.
