  • A computer Scientist is a person who has knowledge of computer science. They work on the theoretical side of computer systems He or she is responsible for designing and developing scientific software applications.

    In this article I would like to provide you some important interview questions that are frequently asked to the Computer Scientist.

    1. Please tell us something about your professional experience?
    I have extensive experience in developing and analyzing computer programs, computer security, database administration, web design and development, full life cycle of the software design process including requirements definition, prototyping, design, interface implementation, development, testing, source-level debugging, verification and validation, maintenance and management  of software applications and computer systems.

    2. Elaborate some of your technical and non technical skills?
    I have excellent knowledge of web development tools such as PHP, XHTML, and CSS; programming languages such as C, C++, VB, C#, and OPS5; and CS tools such as Subversion, GCC, GDB, Lex/Flex, Yace and Bison. I am also proficient in databases such as SQL, MS MYSQL server, and Crystal reports. I also have the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments and I have natural communication, troubleshooting skills, analytical, customer service, interpersonal, management, organizational and problem solving skills.

    3. Please tell us something about the roles and responsibilities that you had in your previous positions?
    In my previous job I was responsible for performing various tasks such as maintaining documentations for the data software, designing and implementing improvements, developing and analyzing data and providing education and training to the subordinates.

    4. Why do you want to work with our organization?
    Now this is a tricky question. I would suggest you to prepare well before appearing for an interview. Do your homework, and make a complete research of the respective bank. All you have to do is to speak about the past and growth trend of the organization and gradually tell the interviewer that you will have a great future ahead over here.

    5. What is more important for you: Money or work?
    Money and work both are like siblings. But I believe when you work hard then money will automatically flow to you. So work is more important than money.
