  • A cook is a person employed in a hotel who is responsible for preparing food ingredients. He or she prepares food and clean the food preparing equipments, tables, counter areas and other work area. They are also responsible for cooking, grilling and frying food items.

    1. Please elaborate about your qualifications, experience and skills?
    I have ample experience in this field. I am highly efficient in preparing, seasoning, and cooking a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items in large quantity. I possess exceptional knowledge of supplies, equipments, and service ordering and inventory control. I can work successfully in team as well as individual work environment.

    2. What are the roles and responsibilities of a cook?
    In my previous hotel I was responsible for cleaning food preparation equipments, tables, counters and other work areas, making plan on orders so that the served items will finish at the same time, taking orders, preparing food items like eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, brewing coffee, carving meats and fries, I also used to take orders and place food on plates. I even accepted payments and make changes in charge clips as needed.

    3. Why do you want to make a career in cooking?
