Director of Human Resource is the ultimate head of any large multinational company or government entity. He monitors the work of Assistant Director very closely and guides him professionally for the betterment of the company. Director of Human Resources advises, develops and implements policies and procedures relating to the effective use of the man management skills within an organization. He should work closely with the labor union activities for the positive improvisation of the employees. Director of Human Resources oversee the orientation, training, development of the employees. He directs staff in the development of employee relations program me, compensation, bonuses, payroll etc. He devises budget allocations for each department.

1. How would you deal with an employee who is constantly under performing?
It will be my foremost duty to enhance ones abilities so that he may be an asset to the company. I would try to recollect the past accomplishments of that particular employee and would try to motivate him by using references from his past accomplishments. I would try to glorify his strengths which will eventually instigate him to perform better. I will give him a deadline which will be realistic so that he can improve his under performing habits and would see to it that he never commits the same mistakes.
2. What kind of working atmosphere do you prefer working in?
I want the working atmosphere to be friendly but at times strict. The atmosphere should be conducive for healthy all round development of the employee. I should be given a free hand in implementing my thoughts and ideas. The working atmosphere should not be autocratic and everyone should be encouraged to come up with his ideas and thoughts which could improve the company’s productivity as a whole.
3. How would you deal with an employee who constantly achieves the targets and is performing exceedingly?
I will definitely encourage an employee who has been so successful in his past endeavors. I would try to motivate him to perform even better which could lead to increased productivity and thus would be beneficial to him and as well as the company. I will definitely give him a greater role and responsibility in company’s broader brand image.
