  • An Engineering Consultant is a person who gives expert or professional advice on matters related to engineering. He or she communicate with clients to plan, manage, design and supervise the projects.

    2. Describe a situation where you dealt with a difficult customer or co-worker.
    For answering this question quote some examples. Give a straight-forward answer where you handled a situation and tell how you learned from that situation.

    3. What discriminate a good engineering consultant from a bad one? What qualities are required to become a good engineering consultant?
    This is a very important position hence it requires excellent presentation skills, decision-making skills, facilitation skills, communication skills, conflict resolution ability, negotiation skills, relationship building skills, questioning skills, escalation skills, cultural awareness, and leadership qualities. People who hold this position should also have the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.

    4. We have met several candidates. Why are you the one we should hire?
    Demonstrate your accomplishments in front of the interviewer. One has to tell reasons as to why he fits into this position. Think of all the positive traits in your personality that makes you suitable for the job. You have to tell how your studies, skills, experience and personal qualities will contribute to the work of the organization.

    5. What salary range are you looking for?
    I am interested in finding a job that is a good fit for me. I am sure whatever salary you are paying is consistent with the rest of the market. I think you have a good idea of what this position is worth to your company.
