  • Engineering graduate is the trainee who works along with their studies or graduation under the direction of senior engineers. They discuss the changes in design, manufacturing methods, techniques and procedures of drafting with the seniors. He or she calculates the equipment capacity to gain particular performance and submits all this information to senior engineer for approval.

    I performed a variety of tasks, I had to assist seniors in designing, manufacturing methods, techniques, and procedures of drafting. I also worked in microprocessor lab where I was responsible for duties such as teaching students, helping in meeting and correcting reports of students. I was also responsible for Auto-CAD drawings for large production.

    2. What skills will you bring to our organization?
    I have deep knowledge of engineering practices, principles and procedures.  I can easily develop plans, strategies and designs for executing a particular project. I also have a sound sense of business practice. I possess very good troubleshooting skills, customer service skills, interpersonal, management, organizational and problem solving skills.

    3. Why do you want to make a career in this field?
    I find this field very lucrative. Engineering is considered as a hot career option. There has been the explosion of career opportunities in the area of engineering. You have to tell those reasons for which you want to join this profession. Make a complete research on the respective field.

    4. What do you see yourself doing five years from now?
    After five years I would like to see myself as a professional who is well equipped with knowledge, and I would like to lead a group of people who are ambitious. Be honest and open of where you want to go within the industry and within the company you are applying to.

    5. If we don’t offer you the job after this interview, why do you think that would be?
    I am confident that my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for this job. If you didn’t offer it to me I think that would be because I haven’t explained some area of my experience to you fully enough.
