1. Why did you choose this career?
While I was doing my MBA I develop interest in this field. It provides me a strong ground where in short term I can show my capabilities and take higher responsibilities.
2. What goals do you have in your career?
Tell about your dreams and what you wish to achieve in life. Example: I personally would like to become an Advertising Manager and this has been my goal for quite some time.
3. What is your greatest strength and weakness?
I’m too much of a perfectionist and headstrong. I really like to be challenged in my job. My biggest strength is my good communication skills and my weakness is I am too focused on my work and I need to find more time to relax.
4. What do you see yourself doing five years from now?
After five years I would like to see myself as a professional who is well equipped with knowledge, and I would like to lead a group of people who are ambitious. Be honest and open of where you want to go within the industry and within the company you are applying to.
5. If we don’t offer you the job after this interview, why do you think that would be?
I am confident that my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for this job. If you didn’t offer it to me I think that would be because I haven’t explained some area of my experience to you fully enough.
6. What salary range are you looking for?
I am interested in finding a job that is a good fit for me. I’m sure whatever salary you’re paying is consistent with the rest of the market. I think you have a good idea of what this position is worth to your company.
So read these questions and practice, rehearse the answers. Don’t let the employer interview be the first time you actually formulate an answer in spoken words. You should not take enough time to think about them in your head.
