1. Are you married?
If you will go through the state labor laws then you will find that these types of personal questions are not allowed to ask. But they can definitely ask you that what your marital status is? It’s good for you as there will not be any cross questioning as far as this question is concerned.
2. How many projects have you handled so far?
This is just like the question that what is your work profile? You will have to prepare yourself for this question. Make sure that you take out five or six best projects on which you have worked.
3. Do you know about bidding?
You should know that government contracts are won through bidding and hence you should have the knowledge of bidding. Only then you will turn out to be a better contractor.
4. What is the size of your team?
Let me tell you one thing that you need to have a well prepared team and you will have to tell about it during the interview. The recruiters want to know about your team. Generally you will be required to have a civil engineer, architects, mason and labors in your team. This is just an example of the contractors who are in construction profession. There are many other types of contractors as well.
5. Why do you feel that you should be selected?
This is definitely a very tough question. However those people who live each and every second of life have no problem with these types of questions. What I really mean is that you should be honest with your work. Only then you will be able to grow your business or get promoted if you are an employee. You should say that I should be selected since you are the best, but you should not change your words if the recruiter pressurizes you.
6. Have you ever failed to complete any project?
No, in fact I have completed all the projects in time. Make sure that you have performed well enough so that you can answer like this.
