Government Jobs Interview Questions

  • There is not much difference between a simple interview and the government interviews. However, one thing is important that the interview will definitely be better planned as far as the government job interviews are concerned. You should realize that no body has the full power to appoint you. The HR team selects you only when you pass all the exams related to that government job. Sometimes the candidates get frightened since all the people are so serious. Believe me that there will be no joke shared with you on most of the occasion. This is generally a basic difference between government job interview and a private job interview.

Some of the interview questions are as follows:

    1.How was your written examination?
This is definitely the first question. The technical team must have provided the recruiters your performance report in the written examination. It is obvious that you have performed well and therefore you are being called for the interview. But you should remember that now you are in the second round. Now, you will have to fight with the best out of the best. There is generally not much difference between you and the other candidate. Hence the recruiter uses all the tricks to shortlist the final candidates. Hence now your marks will count.

2.Do you like the group discussion round?
You should know that the second round in most of the selection process is the group discussion. Hence, you will definitely be asked this question. As I have told you earlier, the recruiter will examine you from all the angles. It is quite true that you have performed well in the group discussion round. But your performance will be compared with the other candidates. This might be a plus point for your chances or negative points as well.

    3.Tell us about yourself?
Generally if the recruiter is happy with the first two situations then he will definitely ask you this question. However, if this is the case then you should understand that the recruiter is very tough one and hence you should be extra cautious while answering the questions.

4.Where are you working at present?
Your resume is with the recruiter. If you have mentioned that you are working somewhere, then you will definitely be asked this question. Just tell them about your job and if they asked about your salary, then you can tell that as well. But you salary will have no effect on your chances. The salary is fixed for different types of jobs.

These are some of the interview questions which can be asked from you. I assure you that if you will work hard then you will definitely be selected.
