  • Hotel front desk personnel are well trained people who carry out all front desk tasks on timely manner. They oversee the entire front desk operations-from registration to checkout and all guest services related to the front desk.

    The job specific tasks that I performed in my previous organization include checking out the in and out time of all the customers, creating database of customer which include customer address, mobile number etc, and maintaining the office area and desk neat and clean to facilitate customers. I also supervised staff by assisting them on different work and managed the customer related tasks such as giving room, taking cash and providing customer requirements.

    2. What is your qualification?
    It is the most frequently asked interview question. It is a very simple question and the interviewer expects a straight forward answer from you. Just provide a brief summary of your educational qualifications and your professional experience and skills to the employer or interviewer.

    Well, I have ample experience in this field. I can easily create database by using Microsoft Access and SQL. I am capable of supervising all the duties of staff and managing different age customers. I possess excellent communicational, interpersonal and organizational skills. I can easily perform different activities such as faxing, copies document, answering phones, mailing etc.

    4. Tell me about a time that you had a lot of work to do in a short time. How did you manage the situation?
    It is a nice question for you to shine. The way you answer this question will discriminate you from rest of the candidates. Here, the interviewer is looking for specific strategies that you use to manage pressure situations. Talk about prioritizing your work, cooperating with others and making to-do lists.
