  • A junior architect is a professional person who assists the senior architect in planning and designing buildings. He participates in supervising the construction of a building. He creates new designs and plans for buildings based on the information provided by the clients.

    Well the post of a Junior Architect is very important. He or she has wide range of duties. A Junior Architect prepares architectural plans, elevations, selections and detail sheets. He is responsible for creating and maintaining specifications, drawings and standard manuals. He visits the construction sites to ensure that work is carried out timely and properly.

    2. State some of your technical and non technical skills.
    It is a chance for you to shine. Just tell all your skills to the interviewer. You can say that I am proficient in 3-D Max, AutoCAD 2008, Photoshop, basic codes, Microsoft office application, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and Adobe. I am capable of creating and presenting planning solutions using construction drawing and corporate standards. Apart from this, I have strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills. I can efficiently work in team and under pressure. I am a flexible, versatile and imaginative person.

    3. What do you know about our company?
    This is one of the most frequently asked questions in an interview. It shows if you are serious about the opportunity or not. For answering this question you have to do detail research of the respective company. You have to tell the name of founder of the company, the year of its establishment, product and services of that company etc. Do your homework before the interview and spend some time online or at the library researching the company. You can also add up by saying that, it is 10 yr old and I believe it has a bright future. Find out as much as you can, including products, size, income, reputation, image, management talent, people, skills, history, and philosophy of the respective company.

    4. How do you handle stress and pressure?
    You can answer this question by saying that, I like to work in challenging environment and I give better result while working under pressure. I enjoy challenges and deadlines because I diffuse the stress.
