Maintenance management is a process of maintaining everything and tasks going inside an organization. A Maintenance manager maintains the environment policies, health and safety policies. He also applies the programs and procedure of a company. He communicates with the operational departments and coordinates with them for the maintenance and repair work in areas. A maintenance manager should have knowledge of quality control, manufacturing processes. He must have a good leadership skills and organizational skills.
There are some important questions which are given below.
1. If your shift is going to be end in 10 minutes and you finished all your work then what will do?
Here the recruiter wants to know that you have a value for time or not? In this situation you can say yes, I will utilize my remaining 10 minutes, I will see my next day tasks and will make a rough plan of it. Don’t ever say I will go home or will prefer to have a coffee etc. If you say like this then you will lose your marks in the interview. Because company pay for the work only.
2. What will you do if you car doesn’t start and you are getting late for the job?
Say them; first thing I will make a call to my subordinates so that they can continue the tasks. If they will wait for me then the project will not finish in time. This statement will represent you as a responsible person.
3. Tell us your experience as a maintenance manager.
You should tell about the work done and experiences that you gained in your previous job. Tell them about one hard experience of your life during your job. The difficulties faced by you and how you completed your job under the time period. This will represent your skills and it would be your achievement also because you completed your project in a deadline.
4. What is a more important to you position or money?
You should make a balance between the two, you can say that, first of all position is most important for me because without good position I cannot earn good money. If you have given importance to the money then your responsibility factor become low automatically. So always give importance to the position.
Management field is a very wide area, so you have to give the answers smartly. From anywhere the interviewer can put a question. So always be alert.
