Material handling is so important because it is a reliable means to transport goods and materials to areas where they are needed. They help to keep flow in production. Without the proper handling of material, a production can be slow down. It is done with the help of safety tools. With the help of this a firm can able to reduce the accidents and various deadly actions.

2. What are the responsibilities of Material Handler?
Material Handler requires knowledge of the methods used in processing material into and out of the supply system. It includes the methods which are used in adding types and quantities of items against receiving and shipping documents. It skills in stacking, palletizing, placing and arranging items in storage locations with respect of their shape, stock, weight, size, quantity, type, number, letter and number codes, and other storage factors.

6. What do you mean by Blind Count?
A Blind count is the methodology used for the cyclic counting of the number of inventory.

7. What is your professional qualification?
Sir, I have a degree in the field of Material Management. I have also an experience of few years working in the field of material handling.

8. What are the roles of a Material Handler?
A Material Handler performs the following roles. He controls the total operations in a material handling.

The roles are:

“    In establishing or Setting the goals,
“    In the selection of the materials,
“    Managing the material and
“    Consistently meet the goals.
