2. What is a seamless pipe?
Seamless pipe also called Cold drawn seamless pipes (CDS pipes) are commonly used in machining parts, shafts, bearings, and cylinders. It is a solid carbon steel rod which is pushed on to the madrel to form the shape of a tube. It is made from a solid round steel ‘billet’ which is heated and pushed or pulled over a form until the steel is shaped into a hollow tube.
3. What are your skills and qualifications?
Well, I have basic knowledge of computer languages such as C, JAVA, SML and operating systems which include Windows 95, 98/2000, Win XP, and NT. I have proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other software packages like Helix, Proe2001, ANSYS, and ADAMS. I can easily install windows and some software’s.
4. So why do you want to become a mechanical engineer?
The answer to this question will differ from person to person. It is a good opportunity for you to explain the extensive process of research and education that you have undertaken. You can say that – I find this career very lucrative. This profession gives the chance of helping people, being your own boss, and making a very good living. It is a very prestigious profession and engineers are highly respected within the community.
