  • A MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Coordinator is a person who coordinates the activities related to the MRI Techniques. He understands the importance of patient screening and the corresponding impact on patient safety. He uses to define the image quality and the impacting parameters and the special contrast agents used in MRI. He uses to identify a variety of pulse progressions, their clinical usefulness and the fundamental cross sectional anatomy of the various post processing techniques.

    Here, in my article I am going to focus on the questions and answers which can be asked by the interviewer while you will go to encounter with the interview of the MRI Coordinator. So, kindly try to read this article to add important supplements for your future references.

    1. What do you mean by MRI Scan?
    Sir, MRI Scan is the Magnetic Resonance Imaging technique which is purely new technology and commonly used in Radiology to visualize the details of the internal structure of the body. It provides the study and information regarding the Computed Tomography i.e. CT scans and the Neurological i.e. Brain related imaging. It gives the cross sectional image of the body part.

    2. What do you mean by Diverticulitis?
    Diverticulitis is an inflammation of a Diverticulum in the digestive tract especially the colon. It is characterized by painful abdominal cramping and fever and constipation.

    3. What do you mean by Breast Biopsy?
    A Breast Biopsy is a course of action in which a sample of a suspicious breast growth is removed and examined, usually for the presence of cancer. The sample is suctioned out or removed through a fine needle biopsy i.e. FNAB or through the surgery.

    4. What do you mean by Parathyroidectomy?
    A Parathyroidectomy is a surgical removal of one or more of the parathyroid glands. It is usually done to treat hyperparathyroidism which is the most ordinary disorder of the parathyroid glands. It is characterized by an elevation in the blood levels of calcium, loss of calcium from the bones, and an elevation of the parathyroid hormone level (PTH). Secondary hyperparathyroidism is usually the result of kidney failure. The disease of Hyperparathyroidism is removed through the Surgery only.

    5. What do you mean by Sciatica?
    Sciatica is the pain resulting from irritation of the sciatic nerve, typically felt from the low back to behind the thigh and radiating down below the knee. It can be diagnosis by observation of symptoms, physical and nerve testing and sometimes by X-ray or MRI.
