  • If you are going for an interview for any management position you should be well prepared to your answers and always be confident and truthful. The answer given by you reflects your personality, your thoughts, work ethics and your perception.
    Restaurant management comes under the hospitality and it is a profession of managing a restaurant. A restaurant manager has several responsibilities and he always have to serve the best to their customers.

    Let’s see some questions which are asked during these types of interview.

    1. Tell me about yourself.
    Give the answer in constructive style. First start with your name and then what do you want to become in your life. From where you have done your management course and what achievements did you get when you were doing this course. Be focused during your answers don’t deviate from the topic.

    2. Why did you become a hospitality manager?
    Give the answer that why you chosen this field. You can say that from my childhood I went to different restaurants and their way of treating attracted me, you can give some of the examples or any incident which made you to choose this field as a profession.

    3. What do you know about our restaurant?
    For this answer you have to prepare yourself before coming to the interview. You must have researched well about the restaurant, its branches, staff working there, their food specialty and so on.

    4. Why do you want to work for our restaurant?
    Give the answer full of positive attitude that I have been working in xyz hotel from long time (give the time span since you are working there) and I always wanted to work with your restaurant. Now I have the opportunity to prove myself best for your restaurant.

    5. How would you handle the worst situations?
    Remember here you should be frank and consistent to your answer.

    6. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
    Don’t use any word which overemphasized your strengths. Always be honest to your answers and if you have any weakness which can make a negative impression, say that I am overcoming it.

    7. How do you manage stress?
    For this you can say daily I do meditation early in the morning. In my free time I indulge myself in my favorite timepass (you can say about your hobbies there).

    Restaurant management is a hospitality driven profession so always be polite during your interview.
