Stenographer is a professional who is generally a graduate and believe me that they should have a good typing speed because their main job is to type the matter which they get. Hence their typing speed should be around 60 words per minute. This is definitely required otherwise you are not fit for the post of the stenographer. However for being selected you should pass an interview and this is certainly mandatory.

Let me explain you some of the interview question which you will be asked while giving the interview of the Stenographer. The questions are as follows:

1. Tell us about yourself ?
This is really one of the very tricky question and you need to use your brain while answering to this question. Let me also tell you that you should keep in mind that you have to give a short answer. The answer goes like this. “Hi, I am XYZ. I did my graduation from XYZ and I am working at ABC.” This is a short and simple answer and I really feel that it will do well for you.

2. What is your typing speed?
The best answer to this question is definitely at least 60 words per minute. But I must tell you that there are no ifs and buts with this question. You will definitely have to make sure that you have this speed. Otherwise you will find it very difficult to be selected. Hence make sure that you practice hard at typing and you end up having this typing speed at last.

3. Why do we hire you?
You will definitely be feeling that this is a very tricky question. But what should you do with this? This is really a thing which will make you sweat. However you can give one very good answer and that is, you can say that you do not think what others are doing, you just concentrate on yourself and hence you are able to provide the best service. This is the reason why you should be selected.

4. Why do you want to become a stenographer?
The perfect answer to this question is that you have very good typing speed and hence you are really fit for the stenographer.

5. You have any reference.
This is one of the question which can be asked from you and believe me that if you are asked this question then it is quite sure that you are selected. Just make sure in advance that you have some reference and then recite their names in front of the recruiters.
