Tax accountant is a person who is responsible for the preparation of the balance sheet. He is the person who deals with all the tax transaction of any company. It is a very reputed position and believe me that you will have to face a very tough interview if you want to be selected as a tax accountant.

Here are some of the questions which you might be asked in the interview:

1. Tell us something about yourself ?
This is a very common question and you will have to give a deep answer. However you will have to be precise. By the above question I mean to say that you will be asked the same question even if you are giving the interview of the clerk. But you will have to understand the dignity of this post. You will have to understand that you are applying for a higher post. And at this level you should not waste your time for all this. Just say I am a tax accountant and I work for the following company. If the recruiters want to ask some more questions then you can satisfy him one by one.

2. What are your strength and weaknesses ?
You can say that your strength is self confidence and you do not find any weaknesses since you keep them under control. They might ask you that how you control your weaknesses then you can say that you keep the record of your daily routine. Every night you try to check what you have done the whole day. If you find any guilty then you implement it on the very next day.

3. What is the difference between the excise duty and the sales tax ?
This is a very tricky question and you will have to answer accordingly. The exact answer is that when a goods move from one state to the another then you will have to pay the sales tax and when the goods come out of the industry then you will have to pay the excise duty. Do not try to go more deep. Just give this answer and keep your mouth shut. Otherwise you will have to face a series of questions which will be very difficult to answer. However if you have guts then I would definitely advice you to answer in detail.
