Let me at first tell you about the video editor. A video editor is a person who edits the videos so as to shape it in the best possible way. This is indeed not an easy job. An engineering degree is required to finalize the video. There can be many problems with the video. For example there can be color problem and there can be resolution problem, zooming problem and so on. Hence engineering diploma or degree is a must for this job.
If you want to become a video editor then you will definitely have to go through an interview. Let me tell you that the interview being carried out is quite tough and you will have to prepare hard. Some of the questions are as follows:
1. Have you ever prepared any video of any event?
Yes, during one of the church events I did work as a videographer. I did a tremendous job and I was appreciated as well. Now I am a professional photographer and hence I have made number of videos. Some of them are also available on you tube.
2. Why are you so eager to join as a video editor?
This is because it is my passion. I really love to shoot various videos and I am quite good at editing them to the best effect.
3. When did you tried to become a videographer at first?
This happened when I was 12 years old. I got the video- camera as a gift and since then I have never looked back. My work is always being praised.
4. Tell us about your family?
This question is quite rare but if you are asked this question then you should tell the names of father, mother, brothers and sisters. You can also add their occupation. But keep the description as short as possible.
5. Have you ever been linked with our company?
If you will go in some big companies for interview then you will definitely be asked this question. Tell the truth if you have given the entrance examination of the company earlier. There is no harm in it.
6. Have you been a video editor before?
Yes, I have worked as a video editor before and I was quite successful as well in my attempt.
7. What was your salary?
Do not waste any time and immediately tell the CTC which you are getting. If you will waste your time then you will definitely loose your chances. It is certainly a very tough question and if you will take time then the toughness of the question will increase four fold.
