Warehouse management is the making the records and controlling the storage and movement of the equipments and materials within a warehouse. Warehouse is a commercial building where the materials and goods are stored. These storage houses are used by wholesalers, exporters, importers, manufacturers etc. Warehouse manager also controls the process of transporting, putting, receiving and transaction associated with it. The warehouse manager has to perform a variety of tasks.

Here are some questions related to warehouse management which can be asked during your interview.

1. Tell us about your experience in warehouse management.
Here you should focus on your work experience you have gained during your work. If you have tremendous experience in this field then you can achieve success in this interview. Give some instances where you were given some major responsibilities and you successfully accomplished it.

2. How you lift a box safely?
You should go with safety manual and say, before lifting a box I will wear a belt to minimize the strain on my back.

3. How would you handling some hazardous materials like, Cleaners, Paints etc.
You should tell safety is the first priority of mine during handling these types of materials. Before handling these hazardous materials I would wear safety glass, jackets, boots, and gloves in order to avoid direct contact of material with body. If the material is ready to export or have to put any where else then I would pack it safely and will stick the ‘Hazardous’ sign and also will stick the manual of how to put a box safely.

4. What according to you it is a challenging job or not?
Yes of course managing a warehouse is a very challenging job. The warehouse manager has to put all the records of the goods and equipments. Before exporting the goods he has to maintain a list of materials which has to be exported by which mean (transportation). He has to do barcoding of the material and goods etc. If the goods has to be stored in a warehouse then he has to decide where the goods should be stored, he has to group the materials according to its category.

5. Do you have any query?
Always say yes, you should ask atleast two or three questions; by this the examiner will think that you are very curious by nature. You can ask to them about basically which kind of goods they store in warehouse and do export and import.
