Let me first explain zoning. Zoning is the process of making sure that a particular area or land is being used properly. Suppose some area is very fertile, then it is the responsibility of the zoning manager that the area is used for agriculture. 3. As a zoning manager would you allow to build a mall in the residential area?
I will have to do some research. I will at first organize a survey and try to know the feelings of the local residents that they need the mall or not. If they will say no then there is no problem. But if they will say yes then I would take the help of some architect and know how the area will look finally. If it becomes quite dense then I will certainly prefer a garden than a mall.
4. Have you ever worked in the zoning department?
I have not really worked in the zoning department. This is my first experience in this field. However you can be positive as well. You can say that you have worked as a zoning executive for three years. If you will say no, then you will have to explain what other work you used to do previously. Only then you will be declared fit for the job.
5. What is your educational qualification?
If you want to apply for this post then you need to be a civil engineer. You will have to do MBA as well. Then only you will be allowed to apply for this post. Just tell all the courses which you have done up till now.
6. Who has the zoning rights- the state government or the federal government?
Generally the zoning rights have been given to the local government or the municipality. However some lands are under the federal government as well.
These are some of the questions which can be asked from you when you will apply for the post of zoning manager. You will definitely have to work very hard if you want to be selected. If you are working then you should do your work whole heartedly. Only then you will be able to answer to some very tough questions.
