Zoning supervisor is a person who works under the zoning manager. The zoning specialist gives his advice to the zoning manager who makes the final decision. The work of the zoning supervisor is to check whether somebody is not disobeying the decision of the zoning manager. If this is the case then he can order the zoning enforcement inspector to take some action.
Some of the interview questions which can be asked from you are as follows:
1. Have you ever worked as a zoning supervisor?
If you have worked as a zoning supervisor then you will definitely have an edge over the other candidates who are fresher. Generally the recruiters prefer the experienced candidates since they learn the work in less time. They have to spend just a little for training purposes.
2. Suppose some person is found guilty on behalf of the land use. What will be your reaction?
I will definitely take some serious action. I will at first warn him/her. If after lots of warning, he still disobeys, then I will just order the bulldozer to knock him/her down.
3. Why are you so confident for this job?
I really feel that I am the best person for this job because I have six years of experience in this field. I have also won many awards and I have good knowledge of this area.
4. Whom will you allot a fertile land- a farmer or an industrialist?
This looks quite a simple question but you need to see from all the angles and then answer to this question. You can say that I would definitely allot the land to the farmer but it is quite true that I might be pressurized by the industrialist. However I will stick to my decision even if anybody pressurizes me.
5. What will you do if the fertile land is situated inside a metropolitan area?
I will definitely not provide it for farming. I would prefer to construct a park over there.
6. What will you do if the zoning specialist comes up with some other plans?
I will definitely obey his decision. I would definitely not try to force my decision. Any way my job is to make sure that their decision is obeyed and I neither have the right to decide how the land should be used.
7. Do you think that you have the guts to supervise something?
Why not I have worked as a supervisor for more than six years and all of my team members used to obey me.
These are some of the interview questions which can be asked from you. I assure you that if you will prepare hard then you will definitely be selected for this post.
